about the
next event?
This was HHai.
The presence part of HHai took place in the event space Design Zentrum Hamburg in the modern urban project of Hafen City. Several hands-on workshops were offered there, where participants experimented with AI services in the field of image and text creation. Several discussion panels also took place in the event space. Visitors could follow the digital part of the two-day event at the Design Center where players from the U.S., Europe and Asia presented their positions. The two-day event was streamed on the Internet. You can check out the individual contributions on this page.

Artificial
intelligence and
creative work.
Creative work will be fundamentally changed by intelligent machines in the near future. Complex and self-learning algorithms support and significantly influence creative work in all disciplines and along the entire value chain of the creative industries - this disruption is the topic of HHai - the meetup.

Today, powerful tools in combination with commercially available smartphones enable even amateurs to create astonishingly high-quality content, which is then in turn automated and optimized with the help of and optimized on platforms with the help of algorithms. In this emerging creator economy, skilled creators must redefine their place.

A confusing acceleration of creativity is leading to a redefinition of what creativity actually is and through which entities creative work is generated. In the past, it was product designers and fashion designers, composers and copywriters, photographers and video producers, architects and graphic and UX designers who created forms and things - in other words, trained creatives. In the very near future, intelligent machines will play a more important role.

Professional designers must learn to augment their skills with machines. Artificial Intelligence is becoming Augmented Intelligence, which helps create the increasingly synthetic content we all already consume and use. In an increasingly digital reality of life that is likely to result in some form of metaverse ever greater amounts of content will be required, which presumably can neither be quantitatively nor qualitatively by humans alone. In all of this the self-image of all actors is changing and at the HHai - the meetup, creative creative people will discuss this.
HHai is organized by the Design Zentrum Hamburg and the sponsor Kreativgesellschaft.org, the Department Design at HAW-Hamburg and is part of the research project aiXdesign.space.
